Bantry Show

At the begining of September i was home in Bantry and went along to the Agricultural Show. The weather was amazing, best day of the 'Summer' some said. 14,000 people turned up to see the sights on the day. I got out there early especially to see the power hosing of the cows. Here's a selection of some of the goings on.

Taming Light

I was recently asked to submit a piece of artwork inspired by the films of Stanley Kubrick for an Exhibition which is on for the month of October in the Lighthouse cinema in Smithfield.
It opened on Wednesday night and the work is really fantastic. I did a rendering of a scene from Paths of Glory in pen & ink.
The whole show was currated by film critic John McGuire, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Kubrick's death. He also commisioned Uraguian illustrator Martin Ansin to design the poster for the show which is only beaytiful. I was delighted to be part of the show and it's well worth checking out.
A big thanks and congratulations to John.
