3 Blank Canvas comp. shortlist...

So I got in to the final 10 for the 3 Blank Canvas competition! The winners are going to be announced on Thursday the 5th May. So I'm with a shout to win a new phone, maybe. Fingers crossed...

ABSOLUT Non-Flattering Portraits - Kilkenny

I spent last Saturday night drawing Non-Flattering portraits
for an ABSOLUT promo night which was organised by Synth Eastwood .

Myself, Chris Judge and Fergal  Brenman are doing the portraits
and it's amazing fun. People were queueing up to have their lovely visages
represented in the most NON-flattering  light. Heading to Cork on Friday
for another round. I'm really looking forward to it...

Hausu Poster

Here's the finished poster for Dublin's new midnight movie club, Hollywood Babylon.
It opens on Saturday 30th April in Block T. Each movie will be announced a couple of days
in advance of the night. The organiser Daniel Fitzpatrick is commisioning artists, illustrators and designers
to reimagine posters for the selected movies. Gav from tinylittlehorse is going to screen print a small edition which will then be available to buy at the screenings. I was delighted to be asked to design the poster for the first movie, Hausu.

It's going to run fortnightly until the Autumn when there will be an exhibition of all the posters at the final show in Block T. I can't wait to see how this turns out when it's printed. I'll post some pics of the finished screenprinted poster when I get one.

Asian Wind Energy

This was the original idea for an editorial piece on
green energy taking prominence over other industries.
The original version took a more subtle approach but
I really like something about this one.
